Inspections
The first critical step in maintaining Asset Integrity
Wescott assists our clients across all industries in assessing the conditions of their existing coatings systems. Our experienced coating inspectors conduct professional and reliable surveys.
Working from your drawings (isometric, P&ID, structural etc) along with site visits, we survey and photograph all the key areas of your installation or structures, and identify any areas of concern and indicate corrosion values based on the ‘Re’ scale.
We calculate relevant surface areas from your drawings and remedial specifications and produce a work scope and that identifies key priorities, assesses the current ‘risk to business’ and evaluates the integrity of aged/damaged fire protection and coatings and the potential risk of corrosion under insulation (CUI).
Wescott provide comprehensive quality and fabric maintenance inspection and test plans outlining critical inspection criteria, ensuring your assets are remediated to materials specifications, relevant Australian and International Standards ensuring your asset lifespan is prolonged and maintained.
Wescott’s inspectors monitor all coating applications on-site and perform and document the many scientific tests necessary to ensure the long-term performance of the coatings solution and provide our clients with stringent quality control and assurance. This includes on-site asset condition assessments, the monitoring of atmospheric conditions, surface preparations and surface cleanliness, mixing and application of the coatings.
Our NACE and ICorr certified coating, PFP and Insulation (CUI) inspectors have worldwide experience in all types of coating and lining applications, including Passive Fire Protection, concrete condition assessments, repair and anti-carbonation coatings application, insulation fabrication and installation.
Following fabric maintenance works, we provide final sign-off and acceptance, create independent inspection reports and provide an up to date recondition value. We can also create packages and plans that include, methods/procedures and risk assessments for any structure and asset.
